Animal Acres Sanctuary is directed by Lorri (Bauston) Houston, who started the country’s first shelter for farmed animals in 1986 as the Co-founder of Farm Sanctuary, Inc. Considered the “pioneer” of the farmed animal sanctuary movement, she has directly rescued and provided lifelong care for over 5,000 animals rescued from factory farms, stockyards and slaughterhouses.
Animal Acres Members contributing $25 or more annually receive a quarterly newsletter and FREE ADMISSION TO SUNDAY TOURS so you can visit your farmed animal friends as much as you’d like.
